Abstract |
This study confirmed the performance of reducing formaldehyde concentration by controlling UV-A light change based on HCHO (Formaldehyde) reduction experiment method ISO (International Standard Experiment Method) 22197-4. Previous studies have investigated TiO2 photocatalysts and application methods for reducing formaldehyde, but experiments on the performance of reducing formaldehyde concentration according to the UV-A light intensity are scarce. For this experiment, a photo reactor and an experimental device suggested by ISO were manufactured and tested. The amount of light irradiated to the photocatalyst was 10 W/㎡, 15 W/㎡, and 20 W/㎡. As a result of the experiment, it was confirmed that the higher the UV-A amount irradiated to the photocatalyst, the higher the performance of reducing the concentration of formaldehyde. |
