Abstract |
This study analyzes the perceived effectiveness and improvement directions of digital safety management platforms for risk assessment execution in construction sites. The Korean construction industry continues to show a relatively high proportion of fatal accidents, and national policy has emphasized risk assessment, worker participation, and the role of supervisors as key elements of a self-regulatory prevention system. A questionnaire survey was conducted among 80 construction practitioners and workers with experience using a digital safety management platform. The survey examined platform function effectiveness, barriers to implementation, improvement needs, and job-role differences. Descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, one-way ANOVA, and keyword analysis of open-ended responses were used. The results showed that providing TBM(Tool Box Meeting) guides and educational materials had the highest perceived effectiveness among platform functions. However, job-role differences were statistically significant, and the mean score of general workers was relatively lower than that of safety managers and supervisors. Major barriers included schedule pressure, frequent work-plan changes, complex input procedures, and mobile-environment constraints. These findings suggest that digital safety management platforms should be developed as integrated execution-management tools connecting work planning, risk assessment, TBM, implementation verification, and corrective actions.
