Abstract Korea Power Exchange has responsibility for real-time electricity system balance. Recently the phenomenon of expanding renewable generators especially PV is a big challenge for the system operator. To make robust day-ahead dispatch plan, building the forecasting model for PV is one of the most important issue in electricity industry. In this study we compared the accuracy of statistical models with the physical model’s based on advanced research. We tried to apply the models to korean electricity market and national system operarion circumstance.
