Title Impact Stray Load Loss on Distribution Transformer Depending on Material of Clamp and Tank

Abstract In this paper, the influence of the material of the clamp and the tank is analyzed for reducing the stray load loss for 100kVA transformer. In order to select the appropriate materials for the clamp and the tank of the transformer, analysis was carried out through FEM. SS400, Aluminum, and high manganese steel are used for the comparison and analysis. A total of nine models were analyzed. The use of high manganese steel, which has relatively low conductivity and relative permeability, showed a 31.55% reduction effect compared with SS400.
