Abstract |
Recently, many academical and industrial projects are undergoing to expand renewable energies. In practice, most of the renewable energy generators are connected to the grid by converters as the form of distributed generators. So far, the converter-baseddistributed-generator (CBDG) has operated in unit power factor according to the grid code. The utility has the charge of voltage regulation of distribution system. However, as the total size of CBDGs increase, the voltage at the point of common coupling (PCC) of CBDG increases. Also, it causes increase of adjacent bus voltages. In this paper, the CBDG consumes reactive power to maintain constant PCC voltage according to P-Q droop curve while it supplies real power. |
