Abstract |
In this paper, we summarized the development of an operating system for multi-microgrids built on a university campus. The university is a suitable place to operate multiple microgrids with multiple building loads and generation facilities based on renewable energy. The objective of this study is to improve operational efficiency and power reliability by individual campus building microgrid, and to create additional profits through virtual power transactions between microgrids. To this end, we developed E-Prosumer type MG EMS for the schedule operation of individual microgrids and autonomous control in case of emergency. Also, we developed EP Agent EMS for integrated operation of multiple microgrids. We proposed a model that can generate profits for both power operators and microgrid operators through scheduling of virtual power transactions by EP Agent EMS. Through the case studies by the actual operation at the demonstration MG site, we verified the effectiveness of the developed operation systems. |
