Abstract |
In this paper, robust controller is designed by introducing energy storage system to the power system connected with wind power generation system and diesel system. For the frequency control, a flywheel energy storage system with fast response is used, and a robust controller is designed using the QFT (Quantitative Feedback Theory) theory, which can model the system uncertainties at the controller design stage. To verify control performance of the robust controller, dynamic simulations are performed for various disturbances under various operating conditions. The simulation results show that the proposed robust controller provided better dynamic responses in comparison with the conventional controllers. |
