Abstract |
This paper proposed an algorithm that can detect failures occurring in electrical fault while continuously performing MPPT in general solar power generation systems. The MPPT characteristics that appear in each situation were analyzed, and the characteristics of MPPT that appeared in electrical fault were analyzed and formulated. As a result, it is possible to judge whether the solar panel is normal, partial shade, or electrical fault, and verified through simulation. The hardware to which the proposed algorithm is applied detects electrical fault well and verifies its reliability. If the proposed algorithm is applied to the solar power generation system, it is judged that economic and social losses caused by fire can be reduced. |
