Abstract This paper proposes the ESS capacity calculation method that reuses batteries after using electric vehicle. The capacity calculation method performs algorithms such as data analysis, electricity rates calculation, DR and peak reduction capacity calculation, profitability review, and ESS capacity calculation. The proposed method implements the algorithm with Python code and verifies the suitability of the calculated capacity and system stability by modeling the power system with PSCAD/EMTDC.
