Abstract |
This paper proposes an operation methods of the energy storage system, which maintains the operation limit of the overloaded distribution lines. The load forecasting method using ARIMA model for a distribution line is established, and the optimal scheduling method is developed for ESS operation which cuts off the estimated overload of a distribution line. Based on the load data which is forecasted dayahead, the ESS operation schedule of the next day is determined through the QP optimization technique. In addition, a realtime compensation method is prepared for properly keeping the operation limit of the distribution line even when the real loads of the next day are different from the load forecasted at dayahead. The validity of the proposed methods is confirmed through the case study for an actual distribution line with its load data. |
