Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to measure thermal conductivity, of vapor chamber used for cooling light- emitting diode (LED) display. LEDs are widely used in displays, as a light source. It has high heat generation, so cooling systems are required. Displays that are compact and lightweight, are in demand. Thus, cooling systems are needed that are smaller and lighter. The vapor chamber has high heat dissipation rate with respect to size. It uses phase change for heat spreading, and has high thermal conductivity. In this study, thermal conductivity of stainless steel vapor chamber is measured. Finally, thermal performance of the vapor chamber for cooling the LED is investigated. |
