Abstract |
Robust PI temperature control for a variable speed refrigeration system (VSRS) having model uncertainties and disturbances including external noise is described to maintain a precise reference value this paper. A Q-filter as a disturbance observer is optimally designed to inhibit the disturbances and to compensate for the model uncertainty. The oil outlet temperature and superheat of the VSRS are controlled by use of an inverter and an EEV drive to change the rotating speed of the compressor and opening angle of the electronic expansion valve respectively by use of the designed PI controller coupled with the observer. The simulation control results and experiments show that the designed disturbance observer, the Q-filter can achieve robust control performance despite model uncertainties and disturbance of the VSRS. |
