Abstract |
For an electric scroll compressor of mobile heat pump system, performance enhancement by ejector, gas injection and combined cycle of ejector and gas injection have been numerically studied. For ejector, performance was dependent on area ratio of mixing zone to primary nozzle. Optimum injection pressure was achieved by balancing between vapor production rate in a flash tank downstream of the first expansion valve and vapor reception rate in a compression chamber of the scroll. For standard heating condition of Te = -10.07℃ and Tc = 62.9℃, combined cycle shows highest performance : heating capacity and COP increased by 40.82% and 12.6%, respectively, in relation to basic heat pump cycle. Performance enhancement by gas injection and combined cycle becomes greater with lower evaporating temperature for constant evaporating temperature. |
