Abstract |
In this study, decentralized prosumers configuring a renewable thermal and electric convergence energy system for energy sharing community were proposed. This paper investigated energy performance and operating energy savings of integrating the decentralized convergence energy system with centralized thermal network. For the case study, a smart village located in Busan Eco Delta Smart City was selected for this analysis via detailed simulation. Major thermal energy for cooling, heating, and domestic hot water was produced by ground source heat pumps in centralized system. Decentralized prosumer had water-to-water heat pump for simultaneous production of cooling and heating water. As a result of this analysis, it was found that the proposed system could save 13.5% of operating energy to serve cooling and hot water energy compared with a ground-source heat pump system. |
