Abstract |
In quantification for building energy diagnosis, collective application of thermal load profile of zone can cause a difference from actual energy use. Considering the number of existing buildings, a quantitative and cost-effective method is needed. In this study, a cooling or heating zone classification model was presented based on coefficient of determination using indoor and outdoor temperatures. Statistical verification was conducted using the process of feature selection for energy usage and indoor temperature measured at the building unit. The proposed model essentially has a thermodynamic mechanism similar to the degree-day method. It can properly classify the cooling and heating zone of a building. Criteria for determining the heating and cooling zone can be usefully adjusted. Since the proposed classification model works in a very simple way, it can be used in integration with various models. |
