Abstract |
This study investigated ventilation performance by field measurement of blaster damper equipped in subway tunnels. Results are summarized as follows. Ventilation rate to remove generated heat load by running within a subway tunnel was calculated to be 18.55 m3/s. During train passage time (06:00~09:00) in the reference tunnel, the average air flow velocity was measured to be 2.97 m/s and the ventilation rate through blaster damp was calculated to be 33.26 m3/s. Natural ventilation through blaster damp was judged to be sufficient. However, the air volume due to piston effect during train running was 52.7% greater than that through the blaster damper. As the air volume due to the piston effect occurs simultaneously with heat accumulation or heat removal within the tunnel, it is necessary to consider changes in surface temperature inside the tunnel. |
