Abstract In this study, a two-stage direct current (DC)-DC converter operating at a wide output voltage ranging from 150 V to 1000 V is proposed to satisfy the battery voltage requirement of various electric vehicles. The proposed converter has a two-stage structure that combines an isolated converter and a non-isolated converter. The voltage and current sensors located between the two converters are removed, and a control technology that uses only the non-isolated converter side sensor is proposed. The proposed two-stage DC-DC converter can be applied to vehicle-to-grid systems because bidirectional control is possible.
