| Abstract |
This paper proposes a design method for active clamp forward (ACF) converters. This method reduces design errors and considers stresses on the switching elements and the operational range of the converter. Traditional ACF converter designs overlook the parasitic characteristics of components and the leakage inductance of transformers, which result in leads to design inaccuracies. To address this problem, a precise design method that incorporates the impedance of transformers and the parasitic characteristics of components is introduced. The relationships between input and output of converter, stresses on the switching elements, and the operational range are extensively analyzed to minimize design errors. This method focuses on significantly reducing design errors, which enhances the precision and reliability of ACF converter designs. |
