| Abstract |
This study proposes an active power control (APC) algorithm that considers load impedance characteristics for induction heating (IH) Cooktop systems. Given that the equivalent parameters of the load can vary depending on the type of pot, a pot type detection (PTD) algorithm is necessary to realize stable power control of the IH Cooktop system. When applying the APC algorithm, flexible power control can be achieved without needing additional acquisition of power curve data or conditional statements for various pot types during the PTD process. Therefore, in this study, the APC algorithm based on an analysis of equivalent parameters is proposed and designed. The feasibility of the proposed algorithm is validated through experiments using various types of pots. |
