| Abstract |
this paper, we study the aspect of evolution of Expessionistic Architecture from a Romantic point of view after the Modern Architecture. Firstly, we analysis the word 'Organic' and 'Organic Architecture' through the definition of ecological consideration which occurred before the Organic Architecture. Secondly, with the study on the development of Expressional Architecture, we look for its background and the connection between Organism and Expressionism. The results are as following. The Expressionism Architecture tried to transcend the Individualism in its concept and expression so that it may accept the objective and functional aspect of Rationalism Architectural thought. The aspects of evolution of Expressionism Architecture in the system of organic thought, which is one of the attempts to transcend the Individualism, would be classified as following. 1) the borrowing of organic shape and form,2) the application of the rules(formulas) and the principles of organism,3) the relation between organism and environment |
