| Abstract |
What is the direction of idealistic preservative exhibition space is 21C Museum? The purpose of this study is to research not only external shape of exhibition showcase as simple exhibition tool function, but offering conservation and psychological function with showcase system and other methods. About 200 examples(museums) of exhibition spaces and showcase systems were selected and classified according to built-in-free standing type and some exhibits characteristics when was constructed in Japan and Europe from 1970 to 1996. And then, the change of forms, size and systematical features were qualitatively and qualitatively analyzed. The result of this research can be summarized as follows: Since the `80s, these had been active changes on the functional system of showcase equipments and concepts of exhibition design field. The preservative exhibition tools had extensively been expanded in its area, especially in the case of elements of design items and hardware systems. The contents of those changes had focused on intensification of preservation, various presentation and high transparency of spatial structure. And the recent mechanical progress can be resulted that in architectural and interior problem solving for adequate systemization of architectural space in specific conditions, inter-communication between exhibition objects and visitors by psychology and technology is important not so much as creative exhibition design. |
