| Abstract |
It is expected that the need of a social welfare hall gradually arise in our community, since we regard the meaning of social welfare as a right which all of the people should have as guardians of the weakest members. Today, ambiguous guidelines on architectural plan of the social welfare hall, which are still not suitable for function and role of this hall, and are not corresponded with architectural design from the early design phase, are proposed in our design competition, because these kinds of halls have not been often built according to functional requirements of the social welfare.Therefore, this study proposes an architectural strategy that should be considered before designing a new social welfare hal1, through an analysis of spatial usage in operation programs of various newly-built halls in Korea. |
