Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to record and analyze the current preservation status and to find architectural characteristics of the Dong-Heon(東軒), designated as a cultural assets in Chungcheongbuk-do. And, it is aiming to contribute to the restoration and preservation policy of the Dong-Heon. The research method conducted a field survey, actual measurement, and photography of Dong-Heon and compared it to existing data. The result are as followings. Firstly, the Dong-Heon in Chungcheongbuk-do is located adjacent to the central administrative facilities, schools, and etc. of the region, and it was able to confirm the location and arrangement traces of the past. Secondly, the floor plan shapes were all '一' shape, and the size generally changed according to the administrative unit. In the floor plan composition, Ondol(溫突) room on the left and Daecheong(大廳) on the right were the most frequently. Thirdly, in order to emphasize authority and frontality, the front is uniquely constructed in stepping stones, processing foundation stones, circle pillars, double eaves, and etc. rather than the other side. Lastly, the superstructure was composed of 2 Koju 7 Ryang(二高主 七樑) from 5 Ryang(五樑) depending on the size of the floor plan, and 2 Ikkong(二翼工) was the most used. |
