Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to identify the effectiveness of the classroom using the creative education space designed for the enhancement of creative competence. Therefore, we applied the model of creative capacity building class designed by Yang Hyejin (2017) and conducted experiments on 169 students participating in the liberal arts classes of S university. Before and after the experiment, an integrated creativity test (Lee Kyung Hwa, 2014) was conducted as a pre- and post-test. The experiment was divided into two groups: class1071 and class0556. The same class was held for four weeks. As a result of the research, it was confirmed that the creative ability of the experimental group students applying the creative education space improved substantially. As a result of comparing the difference of degree of creative ability improvement in the classroom where class1071 and class0556 were applied, the effect of class0556 classroom was higher in university students' fluency improvement, And the class1071 classrooms were more effective in improving the sensitivity of accidents. There was no difference in the imagination, originality, and sophistication among the models. However, it was confirmed that class1071 was the more effective model for improving overall creative abilities. As a result, we could find implications for the improvement of creative capacity of college students, considering not only consideration of teaching - learning methods and individual differences but also characteristics of educational environment and space. |
