This study started from the intention to understand the artist's concept of the works installed in the placenss. The behavior that a human being sees something is the process of grasping the essence, by selecting the interested object and analyzing it by making it related to previous memory or experience. It was noted that optical media technology induces the viewer's experience and changes the memory of the place. Through this, the purpose of this study to examine the characteristics of the space-time(chronotope) experience that the artist has directed. This study starts review of change in the acceptance of visual images and the audience’s perspective. As a result, the space and media works planned by the artist were generating continuous communication between place and users.
What sees can be said to be cognitional and to be visual perception which is formed together by mental imagery.
The artist instills new memories of chronotope as works that induce instant experiences. In conclusion, the new media with mediality acted as a medium for establishing the remediation between the viewer and the work. |
