Abstract |
Elderly care facilities consist of a space that differs from hospital facilities in terms of care and treatment services and has a concept of residential space. In particular, residential spaces are closely related to improving the quality of resident’s life by planning residential spaces in consideration of old people’s habitability to suit the social, emotional and psychological needs. Since indoor living is mainly due to the limited activity of the elderly, the living room of the elderly nursing facility plays a critical role in determining the quality of service. Therefore, the living space is emphasized to be used as a rehabilitation and healing space. In this context, this study aims to analyze the behavior of the residents in the living room through case analysis of the elderly care facility, and to analyze and organize the architectural countermeasures in the living room type as basic data for planning the elderly care facility. |
