Abstract |
This study in to analyze the relationship between the anger and the space in terms of the ‘signifier’ and ‘signified’ of semiotics to the user's emotional communication with the space. It also wanted to explore the characteristics of the spatial design that can activate emotional communication of anger management. The 'expressional language' of anger is obtained through a university student's survey. The characteristics of the housing space, which is the ‘signified’, are analyzed through the psychological environment design elements. The results of this study is analyzed by SPSS for win-25.0 Program.
The results of this study are as follows; First, According to the survey, most university students have the experience of anger, and the main reason of anger is ‘Human relationships’. Second, the most representative languages of anger expression among college students are 'irritation’ and 'attack’, and the languages of anger management expression are 'stability’ and 'pleasure’. In space (‘signified’), the influencing factors for emotional communication of anger are ‘color’ and ‘contrast’, while the influencing factors for control are ‘color’ and ‘texture’. Third, we could know that the relation between the anger expressional language(signifier) and the housing space image(signified) is very suitable by Verification of the χ2. This relationship analysis shows that communication in anger-inducing languages can be activated contrast with light in dark spaces or dark or cold colors and in anger control language through soft texture and bright natural color. |
