Abstract Today the development of digital technology has a great effect on the spatial design including free design by an imagination, intellectualization of space, and transcendental form. This appears to pursue the architecture which is strengthened by the function and convenience, and the technology seems to be hierarchical relationship as a means to create a space in which the ability is strengthened. However, this study is to prove that the technology interacts with the periphery objects as an independent object in the space, and is the object of the activity to reproduce new space. Through this, the direction that the spatial design for the technology should have is presented. For the proof of this assertion, the human and technology are understood as an equal relationship and the cause of post-humanism that the activity of the technology considers as reproducing the latent new world is utilized. In addition, its expression characteristics were compared and analyzed, restricting the installation space. The results show that the technology has unlimited potential power that can be transformed to something as pure data when it acts as an object within the installation space. In addition, the results reveal that it interacts with other objects and is visualized transcendentally, and reproduces constantly new spaces. Therefore, the technology should be understood as not a means but an object in the spatial design and a novel approach of the design for this concept should be developed.
