Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to analyze the expression methods of facilities (formative shapes and locations of facilities) to ensure the safety of school zones around elementary schools and propose improvement measures for efficient school zone planning. Subject to the analysis is a total of 32 elementary schools located in Haeundae-gu, Busan. In the analysis method, preliminary a field survey was conducted twice. In addition, an online map survey was conducted once for a clear data collection and schematization process. As the results of the analysis, traffic safety signs and traffic road markings were judged to be lacking in common clear recognition. Therefore, design with improved readability and stability will need to be carried out. It is also deemed necessary to make a clear distinction between other facilities and school zones, and it is necessary to proceed with the priority layout so that each section of the school zone can contain a clear purpose. Finally, it is deemed necessary to build a road with one thing in common rather than create a zone by introducing an unconditional element. And the study is also thought to be able to carry out experimental research later through driving simulations using virtual reality (VR). |
