Abstract The purpose of this study is to reveal that the characteristics of Alvaro Siza’s architectural space are being expressed through the construction of the interior view, targeting the construction of the museum in Siza. The characteristics of the interior view in his museum can be defined in several ways: First, Siza used different methods of constructing the interior view, considering the different functional characteristics of the exhibition space and non-visual space. For the efficient use of space and stable viewing, the direction and stability were emphasized by using a fixed skylight on a rectangular plane, while various forms and open spaces were used in non-visual spaces such as halls, lobbies, and lounges to plan a dynamic and changeable interior view. Second, depending on the restrained space composition unique to Siza, the internal outlook was also intended to be constructed through various combinations of different changing elements in the atmosphere of some degree of unity. Basically, the geometric space composition faithful to the basic shape is intended for vertical change by the opening of the upper layer and the use of double ceilings, and the interior outlook is constructed by space superposition and the effect of light inflow using various wall openings. Third, considering the characteristics of his art museum architecture in which movement is valued, Siza created a continuous view to correspond to the movement between space and space. In particular, the company focused on forming an internal outlook
