Abstract The combination of various commercial spaces and experience spaces is becoming more and more popular. In fashion areas that account for the largest proportion of large complex commercial facilities, it is important to improve the consumer experience and reduce fatigue. Therefore, this study will understand the basic concepts and development process of large complex commercial facilities in South Korea, and to grasp the present condition and characteristics of the circulation system in the fashion area for the purpose. The scope of this study is complex commercial facilities with a area of more than 50,000 square meters that has opened in Seoul in the past ten years. Three research cases have been selected: Coex mall, Lotte World Mall, and Shinsegae Gangnam through this scope. The research method is to obtain the concept and development process of the complex commercial facilities through the literature survey, and then summarize the constituent elements and types of the fashion areas circulation system, finally select the cases and analyze advantages and disadvantages, differences from other areas of the constituent elements (exit, passage, openspace, auxiliary facilities) and the circulation system type(centralized type, circulation type, open room type). Through the above research, the final conclusion is as follows. First, the centralized type is most used. The circulation type is often combined with the centralized type, and the open room type will be used in square buildings. Second, each type of circulation system has its own advantages and disadvantages. The combination of the two types of circulation system can add interest and make up for each other's shortcomings. Third, the planning of the circulation system in the fashion areas has its own characteristics.
