Abstract |
This study is purposed to analyze of the process and program of participation design projects. The public design is growing with the participation of residents to improve urban environments. This study aims to analyze programs based on the process of participation design. To achieve the study objective, this study examined the planning aspects of spatial practice and strategy by Henri Lefebvre and the advanced research on the concept of PPS(Project for Public Spaces) design project. According to the PPS, spatial design can be studied in the aspect of user participation with residents in community. Through the analysis, the participation design has process(focused conversation-consensus workshop-action planning) causing various relationships to be perceived, so as to connect with programs and activities of residents. The workshop tools need more active changes that encourage design methods. In this regard, the participation design process is growing with workshop programs to improve personal environments. The workshop program should adopt the experience approach methods and tools on the basis of design process. It has relational meanings of sharing, as well as makes possible other community life to be done. As a result, participation design projects, educational spaces of elementary school have created the new connections and relationships between design methods and workshop tools. In conclusion, this research shows a new direction of spatial strategy on the educational space in the school. |
