Abstract According to the distance of the driver approaching the tunnel entrance, the landscape can be divided into long distance-view, middle distance-view, and short distance-view. In this study, we analyzed the design expression characteristics and design trends according to the form type of facade of the tunnel entrance from different angles. The specific research methods are as follows: Firstly, through theoretical research, determine the basic design direction and design elements of the form type from facade of the tunnel entrance respectively. Secondly, the subjects of the study were selected based on the 2020 status survey of roads, bridges, and tunnels published from the Ministry of Lands, Infrastructure, and Transport. Then, analyze the subjects from different directions and distances using the map function from the portal site. Thirdly, through the detailed analysis of Busan road tunnel status, put forward various form types of the facade for the entrance. Fourthly, the design expression characteristics of each form type of facade was analyzed in detail. Based on the results of the analysis, there were many different form types of the facade for construction after 2010 in Busan. The basic design direction and expression characteristics were so consistent and simple that we need to strongly consider the geographical, cultural, and historical characteristics of the specific area when we design the form type of the facade for the tunnel entrance in the future.
