Abstract For the successful aging of baby boomers, a stable work environment is needed to continue working activities even in old age. Considering the physical aging of baby boomers, the form of telework through the home office is ideal for work. Biophilic design helps baby boomers work by supporting work productivity and stress recovery environments. The purpose of this study is to consider the application of a biophilic design-based home office plan for the continuation of baby boomers’ work in old age, and the research methods are as follows. First, through prior research, the characteristics of biophilic design in housing and work spaces are reviewed and home office planning elements based on biophilic design are derived. Second, a preference survey of biophilic design-based home office planning elements is conducted on baby boomers. Third, based on the analyzed results, a biophilic design-based home office plan considering baby boomers. This study is meaningful in that it proposed the creation of a home office as a working environment for the successful aging of baby boomers and analyzed preferences by proposing specific biophilic design planning elements.
