| Abstract |
Basic Wind Speed depends on observatory, averaging time, terrain roughness,return periods and statistics of extreme wind. Modifications of the parameters of basic wind speed is required to fit the Fastest-Mile wind speed measured in open country at 10m height above ground using local meteorological conditions.This paper shows that the Exposure of SEOUL area falls between A and B in power Law and the basic wind speed in SEOUL area is estimated to be 35~37 m/s to a 50-year return period and 38~40 m/s to a 100-year, respectively. |
