Inflexible Pattern of Apartment Unit Plan |
| Abstract |
The purpose of this research is to review planning trends and progress of apartment unit plans used in Korea national Housing Corporation by investigating spacial composition and architectural planning characteristics of the unit plans.Using the plans of 16.1 to 171 square meters built between 1962 and 1990, we attempted to categorize them in terms of unit net area,built year, spacial composition, access type, and bay of the apartments.Based on the categorization, several aspects were analyzed. They included architectural planning characteristics, emergence periods, and ranges of its distribution.The apartments built by Korea National Housing Corporation for thirty years werw able to be classified into 7 types. One of the findings was that unit plans and spacial composition of each type by unit area are invariable regardless of time, and in each time period the unit plans showed certain uniform trends with respect to room arrangement and spacial composition, which would lead to the fixed pattern in the future. |
