A Study on the Hierarchy of Israel`s Sanctuary |
| Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to search the peculiarity of hierarchy in the Israel's sanctuary. There are two characteristicsof hierarchy in the space of religious architecture.Those are literal hierarchy and ambiguous hierarchy. In Israel'ssanctuary, those two-sided hierarchies are in the relationship of harmony and balance.This conclusion came out from the analysis of direct hierarchical factor and indirect hierarchical factor. This kind of unchangeable hierarchy could be used for the important datum of architectural space of the church and it would be good for the design of the church building. |
