A Behavioral Study on the Space and Equipment for Storage in Apartment |
| Abstract |
The behavior-related environmental study for multifamily housing design is needed to develop the quality of unit floor plan in terms of user comfort and needs. This study as an experimental study for storage planning attempts to find out the characteristics of storage usage and behavior. For the purpose, the storage usage and behavior of 54 households in Pusan was investigated by plan types which were classified by net area and no. of bedrooms. The findings of research indicate the storage usage and behavior is identical for all plan types, but it is different by room characteristics (master bedroom/bedroom). So this study suggests the design guidelines which should be considered in planning and design the housing unit and storage(space and equipments) based on the results of the storage usage and behavior analysis. |
