| Abstract |
Though the architects such as Bernini, Cortona and Rainaldi only translated and decorated the forms developed in the Renaissance, Borromini revoluted the architectural language which is opposite to that of the Renaissance. The most important revolution was in the space Franceco Borromini considered the space as a main object of architecture. And, as a result, the space of his works were of a great refinement and ingenuity. They were based on a very complicated geometry. This paper aims at understanding the system of geometrical method in his design and showing its influences and meaning in the history of architecture. |
