A Study on the development of floating screeds on concrete floors in apartment house |
| Abstract |
We can say that indoor noise is classified into airborne sound and structure borne sound. An indoor residential environment is lowered inquality by its sounds, so one can not attained the desired object in residential space, furthermore it has been a great influence on health, nerve, and mind to the occupants of the apartment house. This paper is to develope floating screeds isolated from the conventional concrete floor structures, to improve the concrete floor systems for the purpose of the good sound insulation performance which protects the propagation of the structure borne sound, also to substitute a styrofoam used in On-dol structure system for shock absorbing materials. Hereby, we introduce under the present condition on the structure of floating screeds in developed western country and we propose the specification about construction and finishing for the floating floor. |
