Abstract Korean clan village was originated from the primitive society. In those days, the clan that was specially blood-tied group started from one ancestor, formed one social basic unit. The clan was transformed into class society that occupied certain cultivated area and formed the community at its later stage, the tribe period. The purpose of this paper is to study the conditions of branch according to diffusion in the clan village. Most of the villages showed development step by step started from precaution by appearance of the clan rules. As this study put geographical limitation in Yung-nam province, extensive examination will be required to determine if this result can be applicable to other areas.
