A Study on the Housing History of the Families Dwelling in Seoul |
Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to verify the differences of the groups classified by marriage year in their housing history. The longitudinal data about housing characteristics focused on housing quality were collected from 451 families living in Seoul through interviews. Chi-Square Test and ANOVA were used for these analysis.According to the results of the analysis, the groups classified by marriage year have experienced very diversely from other groups in their housing event history. There were no significant variances of the groups in the area of floor space, number of households occupying unit, and changing patterns of housing level. On the Contrary, the housing experiences relating with housing facilities, number of bedroom used, fuel used for cooking, and materials for kitchen floor were discovered with significant differences of the marrige groups. The results manifest that family housing history has to be investigated through the longitudinal approach with microsociological perspectives. |
