| Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to clarify the constructions and characteristics of territory through the analysis of biological and social perspectives.As a result of analyzing two perspectives, the structural characteristics of territory are occupancy, centrality, personalization, social interaction and defense. Occupancy and centrality are characteristics to display ownership of person or group. Personalization is accomplished by gardening, yard works and upkeep tasks. Social interactions are realized in the process of territorialization. Defenses are attained by means of response about territorial invasions.As a result of examining these characteristics, a territorial model is proposed. |
