Abstract |
This is a study on the construction of Nungchim temple in the late period of Chosun Dynasty, especially focused on the funds, taskmasters and craftsmen of the construction of Yongju-sa established in 1790. The construction was promoted as a part of Hyeonyungwon constructed for the Royal Tomb in 1789. The construction expenses were donated by the royal household, government offices and the whole country. The government officials took charge of the planning and whole constructional execution. The exellent Buddhist craftsmen worked in the technical fields. |
