| Abstract |
This paper, the first part of the study on earthquake resistance of concrete multistory frames with soft-first story. We invastigated the basic response behavior in case of the strength or/and stiffness reduction. We found that these reduction occured the inelastic energy's concentration at lower past of the buildings, that is, Soft-First-Story.However, the stiffness reduction made no any concentration of inelastic energy. Instead, if the stiffness reduction ratio became larger the each story would behave elastically. |
