The study on the ward planning of general hospitals in Korea |
| Abstract |
The ward planning should be able to meet requirements newly evolved form the continuous, functional and social changes. The lack of capability to meet these changes will cause many problems which will hinder the provision of suitable services to patients. In this regard, this article aims to analyze the problems of the existing wards in general hospitals and to suggest essential considerations required. This study shows that the existing types of ward are lacking flexibility in accommodating those changes occured in their life time.Therefore it is needed to develop new ward types which can ensure flexibility as well as efficiency. |
