| Abstract |
To meet the needs of domestic building industry there have been many efforts to develop the better building material and construction method. The steel structure has emerged as one of the best solutions owing to its lightness, strength and fast construction, etc, With all of these merits, domestically the steel structure has been considered to be unsuitable for the apartments. The main purpose of this study is to investigate thd compatibility of multi-story steel structured apartment with the envelope of lightweight panels. It results in the 15% increase of total construction cost over the conventional wall type apartment without considering the effect of reduction of construction period in the steel structure. |
