Abstract The corrosion of steel in concrete which deteriorates the durability of concrete is accelerated by salt of sea-sand, when the chloride content would be in the excess of 0.04%. But, the chloride content of sea-sand in Korea is about 0.218-0/338%. So, thd extra salt must be eliminated in order to use sea-sand as aggregate in concrete.Through experiment for screw conveyor system which is composed of screw conveyor, hopper, agitating tank, gear box, we have found that the desalinizing rate of this system is decreasing during the operating time is lengthening. For the optimum condition of this system, it can be recommended that the factors of usage are 20 of conveyor angle, 60R.P.M. of screw. 30kg per minute of sand weight to tank. After desalinization of sea-sand, the chloride content is less than 0.04% at the higher ratio of water to sea-sand, 1:2
