A Study on the formation of the identity reflecting the character of place in architecture |
| Abstract |
While contemporary architecture showing much coexistence of styles resulted in various building forms often has its own identity regarding the odd forms, seeking a desirable identity in architecture should be done through a different way by making efforts to satisfy a harmonious communication between place and the building to be in.With this study, after some theoretical discussions are examined, for the desirable formation of the identity in architecture, the reflection of the character of place given and the characterization of the building forms are proposed with the case study analyzed by using the suggested frame, so that the identity in architecture could be a problem coadjusting with context.Some better design methodology dealing with this concept of identity should be expected from the study to follow. |
