Abstract This study aims at offering thd basic information on the appropriate spatial organisation of the special classroom by looking at the relationship between learning activities and living activities and the existing spatial organisation.The methodology chosen here consists of literature review on the overall situation of the special calssroom at elementary school and observation survey which is based on various activities in the classroom during the day.In general, it can be said that the spatial organisation of the special classroom shoud be more flexible for the various of the mentally retarded children who show so different degree and kind of disability.
